Responsible gambling: limits, help and self-exclusion in Ontario
A hotel guide to a casino resort carries a duty to say this clearly. Gambling is entertainment for adults, it should cost only what you decided in advance, and help is free.

The rules in Ontario
- The minimum age to enter a casino is 19, with valid government photo ID.
- Casinos are regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) under the Gaming Control Act, 1992.
- Anyone under 19 is kept off the gaming floor at all times, including the restaurants on it.
Self-exclusion
OLG's My PlayBreak programme lets a person bar themselves from all Ontario casinos for a chosen term — three months, six months, or one to five years. Information is available at the PlaySmart Centres that the operator said, at the 2023 opening, were installed on this resort's gaming floor, and through ConnexOntario.
Signs it may be time to stop
- Spending more money or time than you planned, or going back to chase losses.
- Borrowing, or using money meant for bills, to gamble.
- Hiding gambling from people close to you.
- Feeling anxious or irritable when you are not gambling.
If you are staying here and want distance
The hotel, the theatre, the pool and Lobster Legend can all be reached without walking through the gaming floor: the operator's wayfinding notes route all-ages guests through the hotel lobby elevators. If you are travelling with someone who is trying to stay away from gambling, ask for a room and a routine that keep you on the hotel side, and plan meals around the all-ages outlets.
Our position
This site does not promote gambling, does not carry gambling offers, and is not paid by any gambling operator. We describe the casino only because it shares the building with the hotel.
