How far is the hotel from Toronto Pearson?
The operator says it is “just minutes from Toronto Pearson Airport”. Our own routing measurement gives about 6.6 km by road from the Terminal 1 ground-transportation area. See how to get there for Google Maps routes from both terminals.
Is there a free airport shuttle?
Yes. It runs daily from 6 AM to 12 PM and from 3 PM to 9 PM, picks up at Terminal 1 arrivals (Post F3) and Terminal 3 (Gate B, column 13 or Gate G, column 41), and is booked on 437-428-6329. It does not run outside those hours.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in begins at 4 PM and check-out is by 11 AM. Early or late times can be requested; the hotel says they are not guaranteed and may cost extra.
How many rooms does the hotel have?
The hotel page says 400 guest rooms and suites, in eight published categories.
Can I bring my children?
Yes, but the booking must be made by someone 19 or older, and children cannot enter the gaming floor or the restaurants on it. Under-16s need an adult actively supervising them in non-gaming areas.
Which restaurants can children use?
Of the outlets we could check, Lobster Legend Noodle Bar and the Lobby Bar Grab & Go are open to all ages.
Is parking free?
Self-parking in the 3,800-space covered garage is free for guests. Valet is about $20 Monday to Thursday and about $30 Friday to Sunday, card only.
Is there a resort fee?
Yes: $19.99 plus tax per night.
Are pets allowed?
Up to two cats or dogs per room, each up to 50 lb, for $49 per night plus a one-time $49 cleaning fee, plus tax. Service animals pay no fee.
Is there a spa?
No spa or treatments are listed. The hotel has a pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room and gym.
Do the Racetrack rooms really face the track?
The names suggest so and the operator says some rooms have racetrack views, but the hotel's cards for the two Racetrack standard rooms are labelled “City View”. We ask the hotel to confirm the outlook when you request one.
Can I watch the races at Woodbine?
Yes, free of charge on race days except King's Plate day. In 2026 Woodbine listed live racing until 29 November.
Is the hotel open during the labour dispute?
Yes. The operator's update of 2 October 2026 says the hotel, casino and restaurants operate as usual, with vehicles let through the picket line at least every three minutes.
Can I get downtown without a car?
Take the hotel shuttle to Pearson and the UP Express to Union Station, 28 minutes on the train. The TTC's 37A bus and Line 6 Finch West are other options.
Is this the hotel's official website?
No. This is an independent guide with a room-request desk. The operator's site is greatcanadian.com and its reservations line is 1-888-399-4998.
Does a request through this site cost extra?
No. We check availability and the rate and reply by email. We do not take card details and nothing is booked until you agree. If you book, the hotel or booking partner pays us a commission.
How old do I have to be to enter the casino?
19, with valid original government photo ID.
Where do I get help if gambling becomes a problem?
ConnexOntario is free, confidential and open 24/7 on 1-866-531-2600, or text CONNEX to 247247.
