The one way we are paid

When a room request sent through this site becomes a confirmed stay, the hotel or the booking partner that completes the reservation pays us a commission. That is the site's income. If you ask and do not book, we earn nothing, and that is fine — the information on these pages stays free either way.

What that does and does not mean

  • You pay the same. The commission comes out of the hotel's or partner's side of the sale. We do not add a fee, and we tell you the rate we are quoted.
  • We are not the hotel. We are not operated, owned or endorsed by Great Canadian Entertainment, One Toronto Gaming, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation or Woodbine Entertainment.
  • Editorial pages are not for sale. Nobody pays to change what we write about rooms, fees or problems. The critical parts of our verdict exist because a guide that only praises is useless.
  • No gambling money. We do not take payments, affiliate fees or advertising from casinos, betting companies or gambling operators, and we do not link to gambling offers. The casino is described on this site only because it shares a building with the hotel.
  • No ad networks. There are no third-party advertisements on this site.

Why a commission model

A commission is the standard way hotels pay the people who bring them guests. It lets us keep the site free and keeps our interest aligned with yours: we only earn when we find you a stay you are happy to confirm. It also creates a temptation to oversell, which is why every page carries its sources and its doubts.

Who is behind the site

The site's publisher runs the request desk and is responsible for the content. Ownership and hosting are stated in the footer of every page: the domain is registered through Namecheap, Inc., and the site is hosted on a DigitalOcean server in Toronto. More on about us.

Ask our desk for a room

Hotel at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto · 19+ to book

Received. Our desk will check the hotel's availability and rate for your dates and reply by email, usually within one business day. Nothing is booked or charged until you confirm.

  • The desk of this independent site takes the request, checks availability and price with the hotel's reservations team or a booking partner, and answers by email.
  • We never ask for a card number here, and a request is not a booking.
  • How we are paid: if this request turns into a confirmed stay, the hotel or the booking partner that completes it pays us a commission. It never costs you more.
