Guest ratings: three platforms, three different pictures
We do not publish reviews of our own guests and we never invent quotes. This page records what three public platforms showed on one day, and the themes that recur in the written reviews.

- 8.9 / 10 · 203 reviews
- Priceline

Why the numbers differ
Booking platforms only accept reviews from people who stayed, and they score on ten-point scales that tend to run high. Google Maps accepts ratings from anyone who visited and uses five stars. The Google card we checked is the one titled “Hotel at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto”, separate from the casino's own card. We cannot see who rated it or when, so we treat the 3.7 as a signal that some visitors had a poor experience, not as a measure of the rooms.
What guests praise
- Room size and cleanliness. Trip.com's highest sub-score is cleanliness, and its review tags include “large rooms”. Priceline reviewers mention comfortable beds and quiet rooms.
- The pool and sauna. “Clean pool” and “great swimming pool” appear among Trip.com's tags.
- Staff. Priceline reviewers single out the staff.
- Airport position. One Priceline reviewer on a night-time layover found it close enough to make sense.
- Late food. One Priceline reviewer noted that restaurants stay open late.
What guests complain about
- Entry delays during the 2026 security strike. Several Trip.com reviews from the summer describe long waits to get onto the property. The operator's 2 October update says cars now pass the picket line at least every three minutes.
- Shuttle hours. Not realising the airport bus stops at 9 PM, or waiting for a pick-up.
- The walk. A long walk from some entrances to the front desk, and difficulty finding parking near the door.
- Small things missing in the room. Coffee, a comb, guidance on the thermostat and phone; one reviewer expected a microwave — only the suites have one.
- Slow reception at busy times.
Our reading
The complaints are mostly about getting in and around a very large property, and about expectations the hotel's own pages could set more clearly — exactly the gaps this guide tries to fill. The praise is about the rooms. That matches our verdict: a good room inside a complicated building.
We will refresh this snapshot periodically and keep the date with the numbers. If a platform's page looks different when you visit, trust the platform.
